Nike Lunarglide +3 Lunar Men's Running Shoes Sneakers Gray Size 9 Review

I have been a runner all of my life and have tried just about every brand of shoes. I had given up on Nike about 10 years ago but decided to give them a chance after talking to a guy in the gym about the Lunarglide. These are great shoes. I had purchased a custom pair from the Nike's website to get them in the 2EE width. I am a little hesitant to recommend the shoes just because they are made for a particular runner and they may not fit you the way they fit me. I am a neutral runner, who strikes with my heels and rolls. I will say that they are light, comfortable without creating any hot spots, and well built. I am getting ready for my 12th marathon and these are going to be the ones I am training and running the marathon in.

Weightlifting Shoes Vs. Plates to Elevate Heels for Squat - Yahoo Voices - voices.yahoo.com

Which is best for the back squat: weightlifting shoes or plates? Or, that will put it one way, what's the difference between using plates and wearing weightlifting shoes in relation to performing a good back squat?

I'm a professional personal trainer. People in muscle mass building forums have actually asked if there's any difference between the elevation from placing one's heels on plates as well as the elevation made by a weightlifting shoe.

If you should choose between plates and weightlifting shoes, find the shoes. The shoes are stored on your person and so eliminate the problem of stability.

They take away the hassle of looking at your feet to ensure they're positioned perfectly on the plates. They eliminate the hassle of aligning the plates up just perfectly so that your feet are flush. Finally, weightlifting shoes get rid of the precariousness of stepping backwards and onto a platform while 225 pounds are across your back.

The difference between plates and weightlifting shoes for your squat, then, is obvious: a built-in stability while using footwear.

Another difference between plates and weightlifting shoes is when you use plates, the midst of the bottom of your foot is not in touch with anything. It's a greater portion of an unnatural foot position than with the shoes.
